Yue Wen is a first year college student currently pursuing a finance career. He’s actually 21 this year because he re-took 2 years of high school. When he completed SPM (with Science subjects), he was recommended a dentistry career path by his grandfather so he jumped into it. After a while, he decided that it wasn’t for him so he dopped out.

He took a half year break during which he felt extremely lost and depressed because he felt like he failed so fast and he didn’t know what to do next. He learnt about different careers from his online friends in China and finally decided to pursue finance as he also started to learn about trading.

Yue Wen speaks extremely well and and is able to articulate his thoughts and feelings exceptionally. Because of his previous experience, he has a mentality that he doesn’t need to plan out his full career path and is happy to learn new things along the way.

He knows that he still has quite the journey ahead of him so he’d like to prepare for the future as much as possible - nothing specific to one career path though. He’d like to become a more well-rounded person and learn to step out of his comfort zone to interact with people more often.

One day he would like to go to China to work because he learnt a lot about the country and the working life there from his online friends. He believes that there is more opportunity there and a working life balance he would appreciate more than Malaysia.

He’s hoping to get help with:

If someone had experience with trading, that would be nice, but it’s not necessary.
